FOUR FACTS RE: Divorces in the U.S.
1.
The horrendous divorce rate in our country is provably causing these child homicides and is a sure signal of societal breakdown. Period.2. Social Science research over the past 30 years has never produced one piece of empirical data to suggest that women survive the divorce experience in a better position than divorced men, when considering either economic, health, or social-adjustment factors. Period.
3. Repetitive research identifies, absolutely, that the passage across this nation of totally no-fault divorce laws, all by itself, -- is the cause of this very extensive breakdown of marriages in America. Period.
4. Regardless of whether any states no-fault divorce laws are restrictive or generous, a research project comparing such influences demonstrates that the work activity of market-working wives -- when they return home in the evening -- is increasing., when such at- home work had been, historically, partially relieved for wives after a full day in market employment. Doubling their work stress now because of their fear of the potentially threateningdivorce law impact toward poverty and child custody loss, will lead to a decline in life expectancy of working wives. Period.
1. homicides primarily committed by children, now expanding
2. well-concealed gender oppression/exploitation
3. ongoing dishonest explanation of divorce law content
4. a drop in life expectancy for working wives & mothers
** None of these facts denies the reflection of individual cases that oppose these findings, but the fact remains that anecdotes, however unjust and dreadful, do not cancel the findings of serious and credible scientific research. On that is which policy is made.
Protecting Marriage, Inc. urges opinion shapers of all professions to review the facts in the above Disclosures and consider how to inform the public, with full integrity, of this critical policy-shaping information. PMI will be happy to supply the citations to the research upon request.
